semifinals at „The Masked Singer“!
Five more masks sang on Saturday evening for entry into the grand finale in the coming week. While the three wobbly candidates also completed a duet after their individual performances, a mask caused particularly intensive guesswork.
The toast has been noticed since episode 1 with funny fried eggs on his leggings. That evening he was able to perform in a relaxed manner: he had been able to settle his argument with his best friend, the toaster.
This time he showed himself to be a rock fan: with pierced eyebrows and covered with studs, the toast sang “Rock you like a Hurricane” by the Scorpions. Especially for guest judge and winner of the third “Masked Singer” season, Sarah Engels (30), the embroidered eggs on the toast leggings stood for a power woman: “For me, the toast is a woman with eggs. Those eggs must stand for something!”
Rea Garvey (49) had wondered about the changed voice of the toast: “This change between one voice and the other confuses me a bit.” He located the lively toast in the field of comedy, but the names Sophia Thomalla and The Bosshoss were also mentioned .
Sarah meanwhile puzzled in the reality area: “Maybe it could be Evelyn Burdecki?” Ruth Moscher (47) typed: “Annette Frier is a great comedian who has eggs!”
However, a second appearance was waiting for three wobbly candidates. Sarah Engels performed as a skeleton duet with Mystica (changed her name from “Diamantula” to Mystica), Terrycloth and Toast. However, after a medley of “Don’t be cruel” and “Tutti Frutti” by Toast and Skeleton, the three judges were still stumped.
The toast had sung quite deeply and thus made Ruth Moschner perplexed: “I’m so confused!” She now came up with another comedian: “Rea, you’ve already thrown Martina Hill into the room. She can also lower her voice like that.” Shortly thereafter, however, she tapped again on Annette Frier (49): “Anette Frier was Danni Lowinski. She always ate eggs too.”
►The toast was already whining: “Don’t always reduce me to eggs!”
At the end of the evening, however, viewers opted to send the toast home via an app. Now Rea decided: “I’ll log Tahnee in.” Sarah Engels also chose Tahnee – Ruth Moschner had also changed her mind again: “I’m hesitating between Anette Frier and Tanja Schumann. I say Tanja Schumann!”
The surprise was all the greater when someone completely different came out from behind the slice of toast: “Bauer sucht Frau” presenter Inka Bause (54) presented herself as a singing toast and repeatedly disguised her voice.
Rea was flabbergasted – and had actually found out the right solution beforehand from her own family. His wife was sure that she recognized Inka Bause, as Rea reported: “She said: That’s Inka!”
Moderator Matthias Opdenhövel (52) also had a special surprise for the viewers: there was an extra camera in the toast costume, the recordings of which now showed how Bause adjusted her voice and passionately smashed songs. And it’s actually pretty good – the presenter is also a professional singer: “I learned it from scratch. I just really enjoy entertaining people.”
In the final on Saturday, Igel, Schuhschnabel, Mystica and Frotteefant will once again compete against each other.
