The evaluation consisted of reviewing that the information and documents that are provided to clients before and during the life of the credit comply with the applicable regulations.

What did the Condusef analyze about credit cards?

Commissions and interest rates must be visible to clients in their contracts.

The evaluations showed in a simple way the rights and obligations that are acquired when contracting the service, likewise it was verified if the interest rates and amounts of commissions were visible on the website, contract and brochure of the credit cards.

In addition, it was evaluated that the management of the credit card account is in strict adherence to the provisions of the contract.

As a result, the Condusef reported that it had two evaluations. In the second evaluation, the banks were expected to correct the irregularities found in the first evaluation in order to obtain a better rating.

Which banks have the worst credit cards?

Santander, Mifiel and Banamex were the worst qualified.

The result of the evaluation of the Condusef showed that Banco Azteca, BBVA, Banca Mifel, Santander Consumo and Banamex Cards kept failing grades in credit matters.

and although Afirme, Banorte and Sofom Inbursa had low ratings in the first evaluation in the second they improved their qualification.

American Express Bank, Banco Regional, Scotiabank and BanCoppel passed the evaluation from the first opportunity and even improved their score in the second review.

The Condusef published the list of evaluated banking institutions and their credit cards with their respective qualification, now it is up to a personal decision to choose which one to stay with.
