As the Inter Miami co-owner recently stated on his X social network account (formerly Twitter): The Messi effect is real. And as proof of this was the sale of tickets for the match between the Philadelphia Union and Inter Miami for the semifinals of the Leagues Cup 2023.
The visit of the Argentine Lionel Messi to Pennsylvania excited all soccer fans and the tickets for the game between the locals and those from Florida sold out in just eight minutes.
This was reported by the Philadelphia Union itself on its social networks, reporting that although all the seats were sold, “a limited number of standing room tickets” they are still for sale. When entering the web page where the tickets are sold, it can be seen that the cheapest offer for a ticket is $378 dollars.
It is not the first time that “Messimania” has been demonstrated in the MLS since, among other records, it managed to break the number of shirts sold. According to information shared by Fanatics, a store specializing in sportswear, Inter Miami’s number ’10’ jersey became the best-seller in the entire history of the sport during its first 24 hours of circulation.
The match between the Philadelphia Union and Inter Miami CF for the semifinals of the Leagues Cup 2023 will be played this Tuesday, August 15 at 7:00 pm ET at Subaru Park in Chester, Pennsylvania.
