2022 will clearly have been a pivotal year for Sonic. The SEGA mascot has returned many times this year, whether in video games, but also as a star on the big and small screen. Even stronger in 2023?
Sonic Team Boss Takashi Iizuka recently sat down with Famitsu to reflect on Sonic’s XXL year. For him, we have clearly just witnessed “the most important year in the history of Sonic”. Nevertheless, the director promises new things for the coming year.
This year is the biggest in Sonic history, starting with the release of the second movie, followed by the release of the two games Sonic Origins and Sonic Frontiers, and finally the Netflix animated series Sonic Prime. For the coming year, we are already preparing a new wave that will delight the fans and maintain the momentum.
