The Ministry of the Interior signed an agreement with the Official Mail of the Argentine Republic to carry out the general logistics and infrastructure for the provisional count of results of the 2023 elections.

The agreement made official in the Official Gazette aims to guarantee the general logistics service for the Primary, Open, Simultaneous and Mandatory Elections (PASO), the general elections and a possible second round of the 2023 National Elections in 14,500 voting establishments in addition to the infrastructure for the provisional counting of results.

This is an agreement between the Ministry of the Interior and the Official Mail, for an amount of $19,391,346,000 for the services for the PASO elections and the General Elections and $2,154,594,000 in the event of a second round, which includes the provision pre-electoral services, services during election day, security and contingency services, and post-electoral services.

This action is part of the actions carried out by the Ministry of the Interior through the National Electoral Directorate (DINE) to give continuity to the electoral calendar, and adds to the agreements signed weeks ago with the Printing Office of the National Congress and with the Mint for the printing of patterns and posters for the 2023 elections; to the acquisition of disposable envelopes and ballot boxes through a public tender and to the award to the company Indra of the provisional counting of results service.

Among the services provided in this agreement are included: the distribution of electoral rolls to the 24 Electoral Secretariats and to the places stipulated for the exhibition; the distribution of electoral materials such as ballot boxes, training manuals, electoral kit box and distribution, assembly and removal of mobile dark rooms; dispatch and delivery of appointments, acknowledgments of receipt, excuses and notifications of table authorities; reception and logistics of ballots; the early deployment of ballot boxes to each voting establishment; provision and distribution of snacks for table authorities and judicial delegates; withdrawal of ballot boxes, records, telegrams and backlog material; office scrutiny telegrams; the logistics for the vote of voters deprived of liberty; contingency vehicles; compensation service for table authorities and judicial delegates; provision of physical spaces for the development of the activities of provisional recount of results in each of the electoral days and in the tests and drills that are carried out.
