The Pumas 7s won the silver medal in the Singapore Sevensthe ninth stage of the world circuit, after losing 19-17 in the final against New Zealand.

With an almost perfect match, the All Blacks 7s prevailed from start to finish against the an Argentine team that had character and always knew how to stay in the game, despite being below on the scoreboard. Joaquín Pellandini and Germán Schulz scored the first two tries for the national team, while Marcos Moneta supported in injury time to declare the final 19-17.

On their way to the definition, Argentina beat Ireland (10-0), Japan (42-7) and Great Britain (19-17) in the Group Phase, defeated Australia (29-12) in the quarterfinals and beat Samoa (24-19) in the semifinals.

It should be remembered that in the current season, Los Pumas established themselves champions in the Hamilton and Vancouver series, which were held last January and March, respectively. In addition, in Los Angeles (February), they also won the silver medal after losing in the final against the New Zealanders.

The next stop on the world circuit will be in Toulouse, from May 12 to 14, while the last stage will take place a week later in London.
