The Republican candidate for Michigan attorney general indicted for misappropriation of an electoral machine

MADRID, 1 Ago. (EUROPA PRESS) –

Republican candidate for Michigan Attorney General Matthew DePerno, an ally of former US President Donald Trump, has been indicted by a grand jury on four felony counts of misappropriating a voting machine.

The charges against DePerno include improper possession of a voting machine and conspiracy to gain unauthorized access to a computer or computer system, among others, as reported by the newspaper ‘The New York Times’.

The grand jury has also indicted former Republican congresswoman Daire Rendon on charges of misrepresentation and conspiracy to misappropriate a voting machine, according to the Axios news portal.

DePerno was one of the main defenders of the “voter fraud” theory promoted by former US President Donald Trump in the framework of the 2020 presidential election in which Joe Biden won.
