The Ministry of National Security activated the Sofia Alert for the disappearance of an 8-year-old boy last Sunday, January 22, in Córdoba. The minor was in charge of his maternal grandfather since 2017 because he suffered mistreatment from his parents.

There is no information yet, but the authorities believe that the minor would be in Buenos Aires with his parents, Carolina del Valle Zapata and Gustavo Maschio, who had a visitation regime since December 2022 to see him.

Gianluca Tizziano Maschio Zapata, 8 years old, lives in the town of Monte Maíz, in the province of Córdoba, with his grandfather since 2017 because his parents mistreated him. The grandfather denounced them and after an intense judicial fight managed to obtain possession.

The child measures 1.20, has fair skin, black hair, black eyes, short black hair. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing pink bermuda shorts, light gray slip-on sneakers, a white T-shirt with a black inscription, and was carrying a blue backpack with the inscriptions and shield of the Argentine Sports Club.

Zapata and Maschio currently have an arrest warrant and given the possibility that they are in another province, the Ministry of National Security activated the Sofia Alertwhich is a rapid emergency system to coordinate the immediate search and location of missing children and adolescents whose lives are considered to be at “Imminent High Risk”.

A security camera at the YPF service station in Monte Maíz captures them around 10 in the morning on Sunday, January 22. Later it was reported that they traveled to Corral de Bustos, where they later took a bus to Rosario.

Those who can provide information should do so by calling the local police station 03468-473291 or also by calling 911.
