A video has recently emerged revealing the disastrous conditions of an apartment newly allocated by the AADL (National Agency for the Improvement and Development of Housing) in Haouch Errih, in the wilaya of Blida (more precisely towards Meftah).
The video, published by a lady recently installed in this social housing, exposes an environment which is far from the dignified living conditions that one would be entitled to expect from an AADL project. The video highlights dirty floors, unfinished work and accommodation generally considered uninhabitable.
Upon entering the accommodation, the first thing that jumps out at you is the deplorable state of the floor – covered in dirt and debris, and clearly unfinished. The video then reveals a series of unfinished construction works, including exposed electrical wires, unpainted walls and insufficient sanitary facilities.
The tenant, visibly distraught, expresses her dissatisfaction and disappointment with the state of the apartment assigned to her.
The video has already sparked a wave of outrage on social media, with internet users expressing their sympathy for the tenant and their anger towards the AADL. Many require immediate action to fix the problem.
Reception of AADL accommodation: opinions remain mixed
The National Agency for the Improvement and Development of Housing (AADL) in Algeria recently allocated new housing to Haouch Errih. However, the reactions of the new owners are mixed: while some express their dissatisfaction, others show their satisfaction. Namely that the residents chose, for the most part not to reveal their exact block (address), but they did not hesitate to share their impressions of their new home.
Among the dissatisfied are residents who criticize the quality of construction and the absence of certain basic amenities. Nevertheless, other residents are delighted with their acquisitions and have already undertaken renovation and embellishment work.
One person, meanwhile, expressed optimism by saying, “Newcomers welcome! The neighborhood is good, contrary to rumors. This positive testimony offers a different perspective on the situation and confirms that, despite criticism, some residents appreciate their new environment.
