After launching in Ireland and Colombia, Microsoft is starting to roll out Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family to six new countries. This formula, which allows you to share your subscription with four other players, should thus arrive soon in France.
In September 2022, Microsoft launched the Friends & Family formula for its Xbox Game Pass. This offer allows you to divide the bill into five to take advantage of the video game service at a lower cost. At first, only Ireland and Colombia had the privilege of benefiting from it. Now, Microsoft offers this advantageous plan in six more countries, namely Chile, Hungary, Israel, New Zealand, South Africa and Sweden.
Thanks to this offer, the five members can benefit from the advantages of Game Pass Ultimate and its catalog renewed each month. Everyone has their own personal access to the games and everyone can play them simultaneously. It is only possible to share the subscription with people living in the same country as you.
The Xbox Game Pass Friends & Family should cost €21.99/month in France
But what about prices? When it was released, the Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family cost 21.99 euros per month in Ireland. Either the same price as on the newly eligible European markets. As a reminder, the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription costs 12.99 euros per month. Paying 21.99 euros for the Family formula is already slightly more affordable than paying for two accounts separately. And the bill will only get smaller as more players are brought into the loop.

We can estimate that the price charged in France will be more or less identical. However, it remains to be seen when the formula will burst into our regions. While it has just been released in new European countries, its arrival in France should not take too long.
Note that Microsoft collects the money monthly only from the primary account holder. If he wishes to share the costs, he must therefore make arrangements with his relatives, for example through a third-party application such as Lydia.
