NEW YORK — Dominican pride will be celebrated this Sunday, August 13 in New York City in its typical colorful flair at the Dominican National Parade.

The parade will begin at noon to 4:00 pm and will take place on Avenida de las Américas (6th avenue) from 37th street to 52nd street. This will be the 41st anniversary of the event, which will have as its theme “Our History, Our people”.

The list of honorees for the 2023 edition of the parade includes the President of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinader, as Grand Marshall. Other honorees scheduled to attend include DJ Adoni, Natti Natasha, Antonio Cabrera, Banda Real and Celines Toribio, who will receive the lifetime achievement award.

Businessman and community advocate Antonio Cabrera will be recognized as Cacique de la Esperanza and Los Líderes – Banda Real as International Band of the Year, while actress and model Celines Toribio will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award.

The parade will include stage performances and cultural exhibits en route. The event will showcase vibrant floats and costumes, as well as music and traditional food ensuring a day of fun and celebration for all.

In addition, our Rosarina Bretón was chosen as the press ambassador for the parade.

The event will take place on Sunday, August 13 on Sixth Avenue from 37th to 52nd Street from noon to 4:00 p.m.
