They accuse a man of recording a couple with hidden cameras inside their Airbnb in Silver Spring

Montgomery County police have arrested a man accused of spying on a couple and capturing an intimate moment with a hidden camera inside a Silver Spring Airbnb last August.

Larry Goisse, 39, was arrested and faces multiple charges of invasion of privacy.

Investigators said the couple drove from Texas and planned a vacation to the Dale Street home. Charging documents stated that once inside, the couple noticed a “flashing white light on one of the smoke detectors.”

“They found out; they contacted the Montgomery County police. I understand that the police searched the house and found several cameras in other places,” said the couple’s attorney, Dan Whitney Jr.

One of the cameras caught the couple during an intimate moment, and Whitney said her clients live in fear that their private moment could have been posted online.

“It’s horrible. It’s one of those things you hear about, but nobody expects it to happen to them until it does, and by then it’s too late,” he said.

Detectives found videos of Goisee on his computer, as well as footage from smoke detector cameras.

On Thursday, police detained Goisee and charged him with multiple privacy offenses.

“Whoever did this and whoever should have prevented it has to be held accountable, and that’s what’s going to happen in both civil court and criminal charges,” Whitney said.

The couple has filed a lawsuit against the suspect’s twin brother, who owns the home.

“Their big concern is that they don’t want other people to have to go through what they went through,” Whitney said. “This shouldn’t happen and they hope that by calling attention to it fewer people will have to be victims like they were.”
