CDMX.- Juan Francisco Rivera Cavazos not only enjoyed the high salaries of Pemex, but also made international trips and, together with his wife, exceeded his income by 13.3 million pesos as a public servant responsible for the pipelines in the period in which milking increased made out of fuel.
According to the investigation that the Ministry of Public Function (SFP) has opened since 2020 for inexplicable enrichment, Rivera Cavazos, current corporate deputy director at Pemex Logística, recorded trips to Spain, Germany, the United States and Switzerland.
Between January 2014 and February 2019, the official traveled to Madrid, Munich, Geneva and Washington.
The investigation also details hundreds of deposits in the account of his wife, Blanca Yadira Compeán Arreaga, and the official himself.
In 2014 alone, the couple earned 1,947,000 pesos in salaries, but 3,138,000 pesos were deposited in their bank accounts: 1,797,000 to two Rivera accounts in Santander and Banamex, and 1,340,000 to his wife. on five cards, two from Bancomer and three from Banamex.
In addition, in that year, in which the investigation into the evolution of his assets began, the official acquired an Audi A4 Sport Model 2015 at a cost of 537 thousand 242 pesos. For that acquisition, Bancomer lent him 413,900 pesos.
“It should be noted that the difference that exists between the value of the vehicle, and the amount of the credit granted, it was not possible to relate it to the movements of their bank accounts, so the origin of the resources with which the purchase was made is unknown,” highlighted the SFP in the investigation.
“The deposits in their bank accounts and the purchase of a vehicle were higher than the income of Juan Francisco Rivera Cavazos,” he warned about that fiscal year.
For 2015, the couple received 2 million 204 thousand pesos for wages and salaries, but 3 million 651 thousand pesos were deposited in their accounts again. In addition, in that year the acquisition of a house in Nuevo León was reported, valued at 450 thousand pesos, resources of which the SFP does not know their origin.
In the 2016 financial year, the couple obtained 2,302,000 in salaries, but that year another 2,745,000 pesos arrived in their accounts, of which 1,526,000 went to Rivera Cavazos.
Some deposits to the official were through SPEI for up to 451 thousand pesos, which is the case of a movement registered in his Bancomer account on June 10, 2016 and another of 237 thousand reported on November 25 of that year.
In 2017 Rivera and Compeán received 2 million 119 thousand pesos in salaries and 2 million 161 in deposits of which the origin is unknown. That year the official bought a BMW X3 for 728,910 pesos and a Mercedes Benz for 773,300 pesos.
In 2018 the couple reported income of 2 million 537 thousand pesos in salaries and now 2 million 291 thousand pesos in deposits to their bank accounts. She alone received one million 444 thousand pesos in her Bancomer account.
For 2019 (until February), the last year of the investigation, Rivera reported income of 100,522 pesos and his wife zero pesos, for wages. However, the SFP detected deposits to his accounts for 208 thousand 868 pesos.
“There are elements that suggest that the assets of Juan Francisco Rivera Cavazos are notoriously higher by 13 million 384 thousand 666 pesos,” warned the investigation of which Grupo REFORMA has a copy.
