– A lot of water flows in that tunnel, normally. Now they have had a couple of days when they shut it down and emptied it of water, says Jonas Eliasson, work manager at Dynacon, which is the main supplier of construction work to OKG.

“Requires a lot of patience”

34 people from the company work 10 hours a day, 6 days a week in the tunnel looking over how the concrete surface looks and updating the rust protection on the rebars.

But it’s not like any repair job:

– It takes a lot of patience and understanding for how this business works, it’s not like a normal construction site where you can come and go as you please, says Jonas Eliasson.

For example, cleanliness and that no tools happen to be left in the tunnel are particularly important.

A feather in the cap

Jonas Eliasson emphasizes that it is a feather in the cap for the company to have been selected to participate in the audit, which attracts top competence from several European countries.

– It’s great fun. We have a lot of local staff, and we care about that. It is important for us to maintain competence in the region, says Jonas Eliasson.
