A strong police mobilization was reported Friday night in a residential area located north of Alamo, at Alamo Rd. and Wisconsin, where officers arrested a suspected suspect they were pursuing.
According to María Montalvo, DPS spokeswoman, the mobilization began with a pursuit that ended in the residential area, where the suspect crashed, fled and tried to hide.
The SWAT tactical team, the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office and the DPS are coordinating to conduct the investigation.
Some of the residents in the area were prevented from entering their properties while the scene remains under investigation.
