The “Creating Awareness” movement called for a demonstration this Monday in front of the offices of the Administration for Child Support (ASUME), in San Juan.

As indicated, they will arrive at the place to make a claim about the draft alimony tables.

“Since 2014 there has been no review of the aforementioned tables and this continues to affect non-custodial fathers and mothers,” reads the call.

Ángel Pérez, the man who dressed as Santa Claus in 2021 in protest of the alimony guidelines, chained himself this morning in the Mercantil Plaza building, demanding that the draft promised since 2014 be presented.

“Since 2021 they stayed with us when we were going to be meeting monthly, we met with them about four times and then contact was lost. The last time we contacted us, we were told that the economics committee was working on the draft. We gave it the year 2022, we are halfway through 2023 and nothing has happened with the draft yet,” Pérez told Red Informativa.

The man insisted that the delay in reviewing the guides financially affects people who have to pay a pension.
