We have a beautiful and dry start to this Monday. Temperatures will climb to the upper 70s and 80s during the day, but rain and storms will knock on our door at night.

The upper low that brought rain and storms over the Great Lakes and into the deep South on Sunday has moved closer to the East Coast and now offers unstable weather for us with possible thunderstorms.

These storms can bring heavy rain at times, gusty winds, and thunder. Rain amounts can vary from half an inch to an inch. Locally, the largest amounts are possible under the heaviest downpours. The rain will likely clear by Tuesday morning, giving way to a drier afternoon and periods of sunshine. Temperatures Tuesday are likely to stay mostly in the 70s.

The rain is scheduled for another visit. Strong to severe storms are possible on Wednesday. With some rain still in the forecast before we wrap up the work week, our first half of next weekend is looking good for now; sunny and highs in the 70s for next Saturday.
