Juarez City.- More than 120 migrants were evicted this afternoon from the Hotel De Luxe, by the Municipality of Juárez.
The secretary of the City Council, Héctor Rafael Ortiz Orpinel, and the director of Civil Protection, Roberto Briones, pointed out that the building that was lent to them to live while they remain in the city does not have adequate conditions to be inhabited, due to the fact that there are open cables. , and there are no fire extinguishers, nor a Civil Protection plan.
The migrants asked the authorities for a list of the shelters with available spaces in the city so that they could go, because they fear being locked up in a space belonging to the authorities, so they did not get on the two trucks that were taken to transfer them. to the municipal shelter.
Briones said that there is a high degree of fire risk in the space located on Galeana street and Lerdo avenue; however, about 20 people remain in the place who seek to continue there.
