They find possible "human remains" in Titan debris

WASHINGTON.- The United States Coast Guard reported that it received debris among which are “presumed human remains” of the five people who were in the submersible. Titan, that imploded during a dive to view the wreckage of the Titanic.

The USCG indicated that medical professionals will conduct a formal analysis “of the presumed human remains that were carefully recovered from the wreckage at the incident site,” the statement read.

“The evidence will provide investigators in various international jurisdictions with critical information about the cause of this tragedy,” said Jason Neubauer, head of the Marine Board of Investigation (MBI).

He also stated that the remains will be analyzed, which could provide “crucial elements to understand the cause of this tragedy,” he declared.

“There is still a substantial amount of work to be done to understand the factors that led to the catastrophic loss of the Titan tourist submersible and to help ensure that a similar tragedy does not happen again,” Neubauer said.
