Information that came from the Pediatric Hospital of the provincial capital put into the investigation a possible case of child abuse, to the detriment of a three-year-old girl who is in intensive care. To clarify the facts, the girl’s father and her mother’s current partner were delayed.

Through official sources, this medium was able to learn that a girl, identified as Nicol (3), was admitted to the local hospital yesterday morning, who had serious injuries.

According to the doctor who treated her, the minor entered the health facility with a picture of hemorrhagic shock and abdominal trauma.

Before the consultation, 22-year-old Rosa -Nicol’s mother-, informed the doctors that the minor had been in the care of her paternal grandparents since last Sunday at the home located in the San Isidro neighborhood.

He also stated that last Monday morning, the victim of multiple injuries would have fallen out of bed while playing, hitting his face on the floor.

Then, late at night, he began to vomit blood, presumably due to the previous episode.

She was quickly taken by her grandparents to the nearest caps, and then transferred to the hospital. There it was determined that it was a nosebleed only, for which she was discharged after her examination.

Two days later, already with her mother, the girl decompensated around 20. For this reason, she was taken again by ambulance to the Pediatric hospital. This time with a more complicated scenario, since she entered intensive care.

This situation aroused suspicions of possible child abuse. In addition, something that worried her even more was the testimony that the infant would have given to the doctor who treated her. According to what the doctor said, the little girl stated moments before being intubated that her father had hit her.

Given this, the Misiones Police officers were immediately notified. Those who proceeded to delay the father, identified as Ismael F. (21), as well as the stepfather Ezequiel G.

At the close of this edition, the three-year-old girl was still admitted to the intensive care unit due to gastrointestinal bleeding and edema in hypovolemic shock, at risk of life.

Judge Verónica Castillo is working on the case, who ordered that testimony be taken from the mother and the paternal grandparents, as well as that a socio-environmental report be carried out in the San Isidro neighborhood and at the mother’s home in the A-4 neighborhood.
