The Secretary of Social Development of the State of Quintana Roo (Sebien) began with the first stage for the delivery of food aid through the “We All Eat” format to the beneficiaries of the state program “Mujer es Vida”.

This first stage in the city of Cancun will take place on Tuesday, May 16, and Wednesday, May 17, in the 14 modules that have been set up in the city. According to the dependency staff, a third date has been contemplated for stragglers who could not attend for their food support and which will be announced once the day is over throughout the state.

According to the Secretary of Well-being of the Government of Quintana Roo, Pablo Bustamante, during the two days that this day will last, the delivery of 2,348 food aids has been estimated, only in the city of Cancun.

“Today we will be delivering the first thousand food aid in the different urban centers as well as in some other dependencies. Tomorrow the other pantries will be delivered, but it is very important that citizens come to receive this support that is designed for them “.

She added that there is a registration pattern for the beneficiaries of the Mujer es Vida program, so it is not necessary for them to arrive very early to take a place, as this delays the delivery process and is more tiring for the beneficiaries.

“The modules will be open from 9 in the morning to 6 in the afternoon, they can arrive at any time and they will be delivered. The intention is to deliver them and for them to leave, but if they all arrive at the same time, the wait becomes more tedious for them due to the number of people”.

He pointed out that more than 120,000 women were registered for the state program, of which only 50,000 managed to be accepted and that they are receiving this food support over the following weeks.

It is worth mentioning that through the Mujer es Vida program, women from Quintana Roo will be receiving financial support of 1,200 pesos every two months and a pantry with food from the basic basket. Both will be alternated in such a way that one month they will be receiving the bank transfer and during the next the food support.
