In the new season of the TV program “Sofa”, we get to be a fly on the wall at the two’s home, where the concept is to follow famous people, who share experiences while watching TV.
Many people know Espen PA Lervaag from the past, both as a humorist on social media and gradually as a reality participant on Farmen Kjendis and last year’s Kompani Lauritzen.
The wife, on the other hand, will be a new TV face for most people:
– I haven’t had much need for such things, but then it’s a bit of fun to take on a challenge, says Caroline Petrine Andersen Lervaag.
Wants “PA empire”
The couple married in 2009, and shortly afterwards there was a little envy, when the wife got her new surname:
– My name is Caroline Petrine from before, I also got Andersen when I married him. Then Espen became envious of the bills where it said “Caroline PA Lervaag”, because it’s really cool, she laughs.
This is confirmed by the husband who threw himself around and took a deep dive into the family tree:
– There I found a “Petrus”! Then I also became PA Lervaag, he says proudly.
In order to continue the newly formed family name, the children were not given random names. They also got Petrus and Petrine as part of their names.
– So we are building the “PA empire”, he laughs.
Requests more “likes” from his wife
Those who follow Espen on social media know that there is a lot of humor and oblique glances, but Caroline admits that she does not get much of what he posts.
– Well, I can’t take everything with me. I just have to admit that, because it happens a hundred times. And I don’t have time for that either, she says.
– Do you actually follow me on Instagram?
– Yes, I do…, she says and laughs when he calls for more “likes” from his wife.
– I think you might get a little mad if I don’t do it, she says.
– Yes, if I feel it is fun and relevant, he replies.
In between all the humor and sideways glances, he also posts tributes to his wife on social media.

– Then I “tag” her so that she can take it with her. And there is an ulterior motive to that, because it is often towards major championships in football and things like that. Then I make sure to give a little extra.
It is strategically wise, because there will be a lot of football on TV when the husband settles down on the sofa.
Arguing about what to watch on TV
In the program “Sofa” they are forced to watch the same thing on TV – perhaps that’s a good thing, because they rarely agree on what to watch.
– That is perhaps what we argue about the most. Caroline is fond of such warm and cozy things, says Espen and admits that renovation programs are something he quickly steers clear of:
– For example, “Time for home”, I know it’s a mess of what I should be doing at home. She gets inspired and I know what happens if there’s too much of it, so I’m a bit skeptical about that.
Caroline, on the other hand, thinks there may be too much football in the home:
– During the World Cup now, it was quite tiring, I think. Because I think you got a little inspired, so after he had watched the matches he was going to play FIFA. So we didn’t look at each other…
– In a month’s time!, Espen chimes in and bursts into laughter with his wife.
Now they get more quality time together, when they have to watch the same thing on TV.
