In a violent incident this morning in Queens, several people were stabbed, leaving three of them dead.
The incident occurred at a home located at 467 Beach 22nd Street between Brookhaven and Elk Drive in the Far Rockaway area.
The New York police received an emergency call around 5 in the morning. Upon arrival they found several injured people.
Minutes later, firefighters arrived at the location to deal with a fire.
Three people died at the scene and three others were taken to an area hospital in critical condition.
Two officers were injured and were also transported to an area hospital but their injuries are not life-threatening.
The fire department is asking people to stay off the scene as they continue to investigate the incident.
