A tourist drove her car into a harbor in Hawaii. Nobody was harmed in the incident.

A tourist will probably not forget her vacation in Hawaii in a hurry. Late last week she drove her Dodge Caravan into the harbor basin the small town Kailua-Kona on the west coast of the island. She and her passenger were buckled in their seats when water poured through the van’s open windows, witnesses said Hawaii News Now quoted.

The tourists would probably have them GPS directions misunderstood about a manta ray tour, an eyewitness suspected. They probably didn’t see the road for a short time and drove their car straight into the harbor basin. The passenger was able to climb out of the car through the window. The driver was pulled from the car by passers-by.

Bystanders were initially not clear what had happened. Because the tourists who landed in the water stayed quietly in their car and initially made no attempt to free themselves from the unfortunate situation. According to Hawaii News Now, everyone involved survived the incident unscathed. The car has meanwhile also been pulled out of the harbor basin.
