HBO will release the next Saturday April 29 “Moonage Daydream”the documentary that covers the life of the artist David Bowie.
The film is directed by Brett Morgenwho in 2018 was granted unprecedented access to Bowie’s archives spanning a lifetime of material, including an extensive catalog of previously unseen images and a personal collection of his own art and poetry.
It is the first film officially licensed by the Bowie estate, the title coming from Bowie’s 1971 song of the same name.
“Moonage Daydream” had its world premiere at the 2022 Cannes International Film Festival on May 23, 2022, where it was applauded by critics and audiences.
In addition, the film has a soundtrack album containing music by Bowie. The album’s music consists of rare or previously unreleased live songs, and interspersed monologues from Bowie himself.
