Triple shooting at Southwest Houston motel leaves one dead, two injured

HOUSTON – A woman is behind bars after shooting two men Wednesday night in the parking lot of a southwest motel.

According to the Houston Police Department, the incident occurred around 7 pm at the Economy Inn Motel located at 13900 S. Main Street.

Initial inquiries indicate that three men got into an argument in the motel parking lot. A woman who was in a van and was the sister of one of them, upon seeing the incident, pulled out a weapon and shot one of them.

One of the three shot died at the hospital. The other two remained in the custody of the authorities, like the woman.

Investigators are trying to determine what sparked the argument between the men and who shot the person who died at the hospital.

Everything indicates that none of the people involved in the incident was staying at the motel, which only served as a meeting point.

The suspect locked her in a cell inside a garage, but the woman managed to escape. This was the outcome for her.
