It has via court documents revealed that Twitter has changed its corporate name. Twitter, Inc. no longer exists, the company that runs the microblog is now called X Corp. As Twitter is now a private company, such a name change did not need to be reported to higher authorities. The court document is dated April 4 this year, a more precise date for the name change is not yet clear.
The letter x seems to be one of Elon Musk’s favorites. He got his breakthrough with the website x.com, which later became Paypal, his space company is called SpaceX, and he has mentioned his desire to create the app X, which will be able to do everything. It should also be mentioned that Musk named one of his children X AE A-XII, where X is the first name.

Twitter’s headquarters in San Fransisco has also undergone a slightly more unofficial and childish name change. Elon Musk has tried to get rid of the letter wi Twitter’s name on the facade of the building, something the landlord had objections to.
