Miami.- A new attraction based on the film franchise of the “Minions”, the little and mischievous yellow characters, will officially open its doors in the park from Universal Studios in Orlando (Florida) on August 11, the entertainment sector company announced on Monday.
«Minion Land», which can already be visited in preview, was created jointly by the teams of Universal Creative and Illumination, the company that created this saga started in 2015 with the homonymous film, which grossed more than 1,000 million dollars at the box office.
The new attraction, which Universal Studios says raises the bar for “Minions” antics, is located in the “Despicable Me Minion Mayhem” area. one of the most popular spaces at Universal Orlando Resort, Disney’s competition in the city of theme parks.
In “Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast”, the official name, it is about testing the ability of visitors to become “supervillains” who can join the group “Vicious 6” from the movie “Minions: The Rise of Gru” , the 2022 sequel.
The attraction combines immersive scenarios, interactive game-based technology and an original story, and features a restaurant run by the “Minions”, as well as other spaces to recharge your batteries, and a shop and bakery that offers a unique selection of sweets with the theme of the film saga.
In addition, the Evil Stuff store offers the necessary items to complete the transformation of the visitor into a movie villain.
Visitors also have the chance to greet and interact with Minions characters Gru, Margo, Edith, Agnes, Rosita, Gunter and Johnny.
