Passing through Brussels for a seminar, Brad Sundberg, historical collaborator of Michael Jackson, had his computer and a hard drive stolen. He denounces the loss of “very cool things”.

A computer and a hard drive containing unreleased tracks by Michael Jackson were stolen last week in Brussels during a seminar organized by sound engineer Brad Sundberg, a historic collaborator of the “King of Pop”, Belgian media report.

“I won’t give you a name, I won’t show a photo, but we know who it is. We are working with the police to solve this case”, revealed on Instagram Brad Sundberg, who worked on albums like Bad, dangerous, HISTory and Blood on the dance floor.

A “targeted attack”

The theft took place on Friday January 27 at 3 p.m. in Ixelles, a municipality of Brussels. “We turned our backs for a few seconds and the equipment was no longer there. It seems that the thief got out of the window, that he climbed the roof and then broke a glass roof,” said Brad Sundberg, which denounces a “targeted attack”.

The latter organizes paid seminars and conferences around the world on the backstage of Michael Jackson’s records. Private events where fans can discover unreleased songs by the singer, including unfinished versions of We are the world, Jam or even original songs like Chicago 1945.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen. The hard drive had some very cool things in it which he now has. It will be put up for sale, downloaded… Who knows? But life goes on. What happened is just sad and very frustrating”, concludes Brad Sundberg, who denounces “a complete breach of personal data”.

An investigation is underway while many files have already been posted online, such as videos of the star’s recording sessions or unpublished titles and demos. Brad Sundberg calls on fans not to share these files and to denounce them as violating copyright on the various platforms.
