Disillusioned, with a bitter taste and without being heard: this is how Donda left INADI

Victoria Donda reported last night that he will not continue as head of the National Institute against Discrimination, Xenophobia and Racism. And this morning he recounted some of the details that prompted his departure.

The first thing he admitted is that he left his position after a talk with Juan Manuel Olmos, Head of Advisors to the Presidency, where he was told that his continuity was in doubt due to his political position regarding the current stage of the Government.

“There was some uncertainty about what was going to happen (I was named as controller) and it did not seem fair to me that because I am a woman and an official I have to put aside my political positions, simply because I do not agree with many of the decisions that are being made from a part of the Government”, he emphasized.

In a report with Ernesto Tenembaum in radio with youDonda acknowledged that under those conditions he could not continue and resigned. He also recalled that his political positions have been known and have been around for a long time. “The criticisms that I have with a part of the Government I do not hide. I said that she was going to be part of this Government as long as she could freely say what she thought, and I think everything that the letter says, ”she said.

“We came to carry out a program that we could not carry out due to the pandemic and the war, but also due to many political decisions made by officials of this government. Not being able to raise criticism outwardly is a problem”, he added.

“Until now I have expressed my political positions with great respect towards all parts of the Government. I make the proposals that I think must be made because you have to listen to what happens to people who cannot fill the fridge and it seems that this was what bothered ”, he admitted.

Within his disappointment, he expressed that “there are some officials, like the new Economy team, who came to the Government to solve problems that generated decisions by others. It is very different to walk the neighborhoods and see what happens to the people and just thinking about how we fit in well with the International Monetary Fund”, he stated.

Beyond the bitter taste and her distance, the former head of the National Institute against Discrimination assured that He will continue to be a member of the Frente de Todos.

Likewise, what Donda regrets the most is that he gives more importance to the inmate of the ruling party and does not discuss the leak of more chat from the cell phone of Marcelo D’AlessandroBuenos Aires Minister of Security, who could resign in the next few hours.

In the first days of December, conversations in a Telegram group chat were known that would have come to light due to the hacking suffered by D’Alessandro. On that occasion, it was about conversations related to a trip that the official of Horacio Rodriguez Larreta did to hidden lake and that led to a complaint for the crimes of breach of the duties of a public official and admission of gifts.

On Thursday, more chats from D’Alessandro’s cell phone were leaked, although this time it is not a group, but rather conversations with different people, including Silvio Robles, spokesman for the president of the Court, Horace Rosatti; with Silvia Majdalani, former number two of the AFI, and with Marcelo Violanteowner of Dakota, a haulage company contracted by the City of Buenos Aires.

as he learned infobaethe new leaks could lead to D’Alessandro to present his resignation to Horacio Rodríguez Larreta, who until now had supported and sustained him, despite the questions.

“It saddens me that we give letters to the opposition to discuss our internship instead of discussing the future of D’Alessandro and if it is correct that judges who accept gifts from businessmen maintain their positions in the judiciary,” said Donda and wondered: “What is Rodríguez Larreta waiting for to throw him out?

The former official recalled that the City Security Minister said that he was going to look for another official with a patrol car and warned that this is dangerous for democracy and for the people of Buenos Aires. “The porteños are subject to a Security Minister who gets angry with someone and has a political discussion and the first thing he thinks of is to send him a patrol car, everyone knowing what that means,” she concluded.
