Video: Las Vegas police rescue children locked in dog cage;  have blows

Body camera footage from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police shows the rescue of six children who were allegedly abused, including two children who were locked in a dog crate.

According to court documents obtained by 8 News Now Las VegasBoth police and doctors described the situation as the worst case of alleged abuse they have ever investigated.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police arrested Travis Doss31, and Amanda Stamper, 33, on June 11 for allegedly abusing the 6 children seen in the video.

According to 8 News Now, police initially responded to a call from Stamper, who reported that her husband Doss had “threatened to kill her.”

According to outlet reports, Stamper and Doss lived in a one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartment with seven children, ages 2 to 11. After notifying the police about the situation at his apartment, the police arrived at the apartment to investigate the scene.

According to 8 News Now, Cops discovered two children in a padlocked dog crate in the apartment. One of the two children locked in the dog crate was documented with “two black eyes that were swollen shut, multiple marks and bruises all over the body.” Police also described the boy as “emaciated.”

During the investigation process, Stamper told police that Doss had been “violent with all the children” with the exception of the 2-year-old boy. Court documents reveal Stamper’s claim that Doss abused the children with “belts, extension cords, frying pans“, as well as with his “hands and feet”.

Additionally, one of the children interviewed by police detectives described how they were locked in a cage “all day every day” with very little food, according to 8 News Now.

Doss has been indicted by a Clark County grand jury on 40 counts. Doss is currently facing multiple counts of child abuse for his alleged actions.

Stamper faces seven counts of child abuse, as prosecutors say the mother was aware of the alleged abuse.

Since the arrest, Stamper has been held without bail as a result of a probation violation. After his accusation, Doss was held on $500,000 bail.. Despite the charges and the video footage, both Doss and Stamper have pleaded not guilty.
