A 23-year-old man, identified as Ismael Mercedes Ramirez, faces criminal charges for the murder of another in events reported at around 2:48 in the morning on Sunday at “La Esquina Sport Bar” at the José D. Diego Avenue intersection. with 30th street, in Puerto Nuevo.
The man – who would also have shot another subject – was charged with six counts of murder and weapons law with a bail of $800,000, which he did not provide, so he will be admitted to prison.
An alleged friend of the victim was injured.
Regarding the facts, according to the Police report, a call through the 9-1-1 Emergency System reported a serious assault, where two men sustained gunshot wounds.
They were transported to an area hospital, where one died.
Agents attached to the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigation Corps of San Juan investigate.
