This is shown by a recent defendant taken out by the public prosecutor in Oslo.

According to the indictment, Medvedev was arrested after he is said to have behaved aggressively and participated in a fight with another person outside Andy’s pub in Stortingsgata in Oslo on the night of Wednesday.

State Attorney Karl Kristian Nordheim, who brought the indictment, does not want to comment on the case.

Set aside one day

At the beginning of February, Medvedev told in an interview with TV 2 how he managed to get through the strictly guarded and monitored border area on the Russian side, east of Sør-Varanger in Finnmark.

Andrej Medvedev claims he is a mercenary and that he has been a team leader for the Russian paramilitary Wagner group.

He has applied for asylum in Norway and has been in several interrogations with Kripos as a possible witness to war crimes in Ukraine.

The Oslo District Court will hear the fresh indictment against him on 25 April.
