On Father’s Day weekend, conditions will be sunnier and temperatures are expected to rise in parts of the southern part of the state.

“For this weekend temperatures are expected above average in the range of 80 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit,” said Telemundo 52 meteorologist Michelle Trujillo.

In addition, “clear conditions are expected, more than anything in the afternoon, since in the morning we will still have morning mist,” Trujillo said.

However, not all areas will experience high temperatures. “In downtown Los Angeles where it’s going to stay in the mid-lower 70s,” Trujillo said.

According to the National Weather Service, “weakening flow near land is expected to bring more sunshine and warmer temperatures to the area this Saturday. The stronger overland flow will prevail Sunday into early next week with cooler temperatures and increasing low clouds and fog.”

“The wind is going to remain active, mainly in the areas of the Antelope Valley, and also in Victorville,” added Trujillo.

So enjoy the Father’s Day weekend with pleasant temperatures.
