The giant Huawei has been offering many audio accessories for a few years now. Among the audio range signed Huawei, there are high-end headphones (the FreeBuds Studio), but also (too many?) many wireless headphones: FreeBuds Lipstick, FreeBuds Pro, FreeBuds SE… In a few days, the family will s expand, with the launch of the new FreeBuds 5.

In order to stand out in a market that has become ultra-competitive, Huawei’s new FreeBuds 5 headphones adopt a very original look, certainly taking up the conventional design of wireless headphones, but bringing here more roundness, with a style that is “water drop“, bringing a resolutely more artistic side to the object.
Huawei announces that it has conducted numerous experiments and analyzed thousands of ears to achieve this very special design, which will not overlook comfort. The result is an earphone that looks quite familiar at first glance, while still standing out quite clearly from the competition. A desire to stand out that we also find on the side of the charging box, with earphones arranged again in a very original way.

The FreeBuds 5 incorporate 11 mm drivers, not to mention the presence of three microphones on board. This allows you to take calls, but also to take advantage of active noise reduction features, for both music and phone calls. The headphones are also Hi-Res Audio, LDAC and L2HC (the home audio codec) compatible.
The FreeBuds 5 have a 42 mAh battery, enough to offer a battery life of around five hours (3.5 hours with ANC). The charging box is powered by a 505 mAh battery, enough to offer a total of five full charges, the box being compatible with wireless charging. Added to this is IP54 certification, as well as Spatial Audio compatibility for smartphones running HarmonyOS 3.

The official Huawei website announces the availability of the FreeBuds 5 scheduled for April 17, with an entry ticket set at €159. The latest generation headphones from Huawei will be available in different colors, namely Coral Orange, Silver Frost, and Ceramic White.
