Chat messages with an expiry date can be set up in the settings. Depending on the setting, new messages are deleted after 24 hours, a week or 90 days. This is possible for individual chats as well as generally for future own messages.

With the “Keep in chat” function, a conversation partner can save individual messages. The sender receives a notification and can undo the saving. In this way, the author retains the decision as to which message may be excluded from deletion and which not. Retained messages are then available in a bookmark folder.

The keep messages function is particularly useful for those who have generally set up communication with an expiration date, since selected messages such as addresses or appointments that are also relevant after the expiration date can now be stored for a longer period of time without affecting the function itself .

An exact date for the release was given by the developers of the instant messaging service not, but it should be distributed worldwide via update in the next few weeks.
