Juarez City.- Edith AG, custody of the Social Reintegration Center (Cereso) number 3, obtained her freedom under reservation of law, after being made available for her probable participation in the crime of extortion, informed personnel of the institution.

At the end of 48 hours, the social representation chose to release her, while “the Specialized Unit for the Investigation and Combat of the Crime of Extortion will continue with the proceedings of the case,” it was announced.

Last Friday Ana Antillón, spokesperson for the State Public Security Secretariat (SSPE), reported on the arrest of a female custodian for the crime of extortion.

It was at the Social Reintegration Center No. 3 where security elements apprehended Edith. AG, 50 years old, who belonged to the Security and Penitentiary Custody body in the women’s CERESO.

The woman, he reported, was insured 2,000 pesos for extorting a 40-year-old person deprived of liberty, as she asked him for money to be able to deliver a piece of paper with information from the inmate’s son.

Following up on the protocol, SSPE agents took the defendant to the Public Ministry of the State Attorney General’s Office, which will determine her case.

Today the District Attorney for the Northern Zone announced that Edith AG was released under reservation, at the constitutional term of 48 hours for the investigation in relation to her probable participation in the crime of extortion.
