Some people have wished for a Razer vaper mini mouse with a better sensor than the big vaper mice. The manufacturer is now complying with this wish, but with a small catch: the fun costs 320 euros.

As the name suggests, Razer presents the Viper Mini Signature Edition as a luxury peripheral that arrives in a leatherette box. The previous PMW-3359 Pixart optical sensor is replaced by a jointly developed PAW-3950 – marketed by Razer as the Focus Pro 30K. The maximum resolution of 30,000 dpi is eponymous.

The biggest feature is the airy honeycomb housing. On the one hand due to the openings and on the other hand due to the choice of a magnesium alloy as a material, the weight falls from 61 to 49 grams compared to the normal Viper Mini.

The Internet is full of hot IT news and stale Pr0n. In between there are always gems that are too good for /dev/null.

The Signature Edition also works wirelessly – a fixed battery is already included with a weight of 49 grams. One battery charge should be enough for up to 60 hours of gaming fun. The mouse can be charged via USB Type C; As an alternative to the wireless connection, data can also be transferred via USB-C.

Razer’s USB dongle works with a polling rate of 4000 Hertz, which the company calls Hyperpolling. At least on paper, this reduces input lag compared to the 1000 Hertz of the regular Viper Mini. The scope of delivery includes two sets of glides for the mouse feet: one, as is typical, made of PTFE (known under the brand name Teflon) and one made of Gorilla Glass 3.

Razer sells the Viper Mini Signature Edition from February 11, 2023 exclusively via our own web store for 320 euros. Without offers in free trade, no price reductions can be expected so quickly. Meanwhile, the sister model Viper Mini is available for a tenth of the price (from €29.50).
