NEW YORK Users of X, formerly known as Twitter, will no longer be able to block other accountsfunction that is used by some people as an extra measure of securityas published on his social network this Friday Elon Musk.

However, it does not seem to have the easy path, since users responded to Musk’s announcement through a “context” note that clarified that the lock option is one of the requirements to be able to download X in the digital stores of Apple and Google.
The block function makes the banned account unable to see what the other user postsas long as you can’t leave comments on your content or tag the other account.
While the mute function only prevents the user taking this action from seeing replies from the blocked account, other users can see it.
