Despite the fact that the next holiday is the Labor DayMay will have a XXL weekend, a situation that will also be repeated in June. Then, the next break of these characteristics will only be in October.
The fifth month of the year will have two long weekends: May 1, which falls on Monday, so it is added to the rest of Saturday and Sunday; like the one of the 25 of May, which falls on Thursday. As Friday the 26th was declared holiday for tourist purposesthus forming a four-day weekend.
In accordance with the calendar established by the national government, something similar will happen in June, since they come together on the same weekend on the 17th, which commemorates the passage to immortality of General Martín Miguel de Güemes, and on the 20th of June, known as Flag Day, in memory of the death of Juan Manuel Belgrano. Thus, the Executive decided to declare the 19th as a bridge and, in this way, another extra-long weekend was established.
These dates coincide with the deadlines established by the Ministry of Tourism to travel with the benefit of PreTrip 4so all those who have purchased tourist packages for these two weekends and have uploaded their receipts in a timely manner will have a 50% refund of the amount they paid.

Beyond the expected tourist movement, some people choose to plan an activity that they cannot do on their working days or, on the other hand, take time to rest and replenish energy.
Although these two breaks will take place just a month apart, the next one of these characteristics is scheduled for October 13, 15, 14 and 16, when the list of four XXL long weekends will be completed, which began with the Carnival festivities in February.
The other long weekends will only last three days and will be in August, in honor of the death of General José de San Martín; in November, for National Sovereignty Day; and in December, a month in which two long holidays are established: the Day of the Immaculate Conception of Mary and Christmas. This is because, by law, the national government cannot establish more than three holidays or non-working days for tourist purposes per year, dates that were established on this occasion on November 18, 2022 through decree 764/2022 that was published in the Official Gazette.
Despite the fact that the month of July has the holiday for Independence Day, this date falls on a Sunday and is one of those that make up the list of “immovable holidays”. The schedule also contemplates non-working days that contemplates people who profess a specific religion.
People who practice the Islamic religion, for their part, will have June 28, for the Feast of Sacrifice, and July 19 for the Islamic New Year, as established by Law No. 27,399. However, these are approximate dates, since they are governed by the lunar calendar.
On the other hand, those who belong to the Jewish community count on September 16 and 17, for the Jewish New Year, and on the 25th of the same month, for the Day of Forgiveness, in accordance with current legislation.
Workers who do not provide service for these religious festivities will have the same remuneration and labor rights as if they had provided the service that day.
