Malax players Tim Häggman, William Koponen and Emma Ginman love ice hockey and are waiting for the WC to start.

The season is actually over for the three players from Malax IF, but during the spring they participated in Vasa Sports’ spring series with players from several different teams.

Before Wednesday night’s game starts, they have time to talk about the Ice Hockey World Cup and their own hockey dreams.

– It’s fun to play matches, it’s a bit tough but fun, says Tim Häggman, who aims for the league.

– It feels good to be on the ice, there is a lot of speed in ice hockey, says Emma Ginman, who hopes for a place in the national team.

All three will go with the WC, which starts today, Friday.

– It’s fun to see players from other leagues that you otherwise don’t follow. I mostly only watch matches in the FM league and the NHL. It’s fun to see players from, for example, Kazakhstan, says William Koponen, who is aiming for a Stanley Cup win.

They all believe that things are going well for Finland.

– It will be gold, no talk about it, says Koponen.
