In the meantime, however, the video about the Zelda pitch is available again on Youtube. The Twitter thread about the return of the video emphasizes that it was actually about Nintendo and not a fake. Youtube told “DidYouKnowGaming ” confirmed.
Nintendo and the lawsuits
The video itself tells the story behind the pitch. After the video initially disappeared from the scene, the channel accused Nintendo of tripping video game history. The objection to the “copyright takedown notice” submitted by the channel was ultimately successful.
Nintendo has long been known as a company that wants to protect its own copyright with more or less popular campaigns. Such is the erasing of many Nintendo soundtracks on Youtube or the suppression of fan projects are certainly remembered by many. Also deleting game covers or fan art from an online database did not necessarily generate positive feedback. Kotaku emphasizes that despite the comeback, Nintendo still has the option to file a lawsuit.
More Nintendo news
