Many classic and iconic films are remembered only by their title of how remarkable they are. Several of them, however, had other names even before they were released, receiving this change for the most varied reasons. Perhaps, without the alteration, they would not have conquered the public so much.
Popular movies like Titanic, ET – The Extraterrestrial, Back to the future and even American Pie had other titles before the worldwide release for a number of reasons. One of the most common was to prevent spoilers from coming out of the studios, but most were just bad decisions.

10. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
O movie The Texas Chainsaw Massacre almost had another name. Before it was even released, the film was called Head Cheese, “head cheese” in literal translation. The horrendous name and as macabre as the film makes reference to a food that is made with the soft parts of the pig’s head, known in Brazil as Cabeça de xara.

9. Back to the Future
