Volkswagen launched the Polo Track with a very clear objective: to take the place vacated by the retirement of the Gol, taken out of line by the automaker after a long history of more than four decades of success in the country.
The “Novo Gol” inherited the mechanical assembly formed by the 1.0 MPI flex 3-cylinder engine and the 5-speed manual transmission, which also equipped versions of the Gol itself and the Volkswagen Up!, another car that is no longer in production in Brazil.

The Polo Track 2023 runs smooth, no matter how irregular the track, perhaps due to the ground clearance 1 cm higher than that of the other versions (16.6 cm of free span) and also due to the use of high-profile tires — 185/65/R15 — adopted for this differentiated version of the “new Gol”.
