Guadalajara, Jalisco.- For depositing 1,180,000 pesos in her personal account, which were public resources for the Guadalajara Municipal Sports Council (Comude), the former public servant, Susana Dávila García, was sentenced.

Today the abbreviated procedure hearing was held for the former accounting assistant of the Administrative Directorate of Comude Guadalajara.

The woman admitted her guilt before Judge Jorge Antonio Nava, who determined imprisonment for one year, 9 months and 10 days.

In addition, Susana must pay 1,184,390 pesos to repair the damage of the money she diverted.

Likewise, she is disqualified from working as a civil servant for 26 years and 8 months.

The former public servant was linked to a trial for embezzlement in December 2022 and had been given six months of preventive detention.

“Between December 2021 and June 2022, the public servant of the Comude Guadalajara made transfers of public resources to her personal account for more than one million 180 thousand pesos, facts that, when discovered, led the holders of the legal address and of the internal control body of the decentralized public body in Guadalajara will present the corresponding complaint to the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office,” the agency reported at the time.

That same month, the Citizen Comptroller of Guadalajara, Cynthia Cantero Pacheco reported that there is an investigation into other officials who may have been involved in this embezzlement.
