The Court imposed a precautionary measure on the councilor Marcelo Remondino for harassing his colleague Giovana Arduino, who denounced him for repeated acts of violence. Remondino was ordered to cease the siege on the young woman and is prohibited from publishing or issuing opinions by any means.
This decision was adopted by Judge Marcelo Escola after addressing the complaint filed by Dr. Arduino, who proved to be the victim of a Remondino’s constant verbal aggression in daily work that both have served on the San Lorenzo Municipal Council since December 2019.
The magistrate applied law 26485 of public order which guarantees “to receive urgent and preventive judicial protection when any of the rights set forth in article 3 of this law are threatened or violated.”
Also, since they both work in the same field, instructed the Municipal Council to apply the “corresponding” regulation and advises that it apply “the gender perspective and, where appropriate, using the tools provided in the Micaela Law.”
