The multiple crash took place at 6.30 at kilometer 17, in the direction of the province, at the height of the town of Martínez.
Minutes before the accident, a white Ford Fiesta driven by Néstor Casanova (68) had suffered a puncture in one of its tires. As a result, he was stopped in the fast lane, put on the beacons and got out to place the corresponding warning signs.
