After the controversial comeback of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”, RTL is now also making a statement about “Das Supertalent”.
Germany – Last summer it still sounded like the next season would be the last of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” on the Cologne TV station RTL. But then the private broadcaster backed down: The show will also get a season in 2024. How things will continue with “Das Supertalent” knows RUHR24.
Another season of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” with Dieter Bohlen confirmed
The positive response to the current season with Dieter Bohlen as head of the jury has prompted RTL and UFA Show & Factual to continue. Even if the quotas are no longer as high as in previous years, they have increased significantly again in recent weeks (all News about celebrities and TV at RUHR24).
During the current season, Dieter Bohlen caused a stir with controversial statements. There was also a dispute within the jury. Nevertheless, there were no consequences for the 69-year-old. After the temporary separation of Bohlen and RTL, the two have now found each other again. But it seems only for now “Deutschland sucht den Superstar” is making a comeback on RTL admit.
After the comeback of “Deutschland sucht den Superstar”: What’s next for “Das Supertalent”?
The future of “Das Supertalent”, however, remains unclear. In recent years, the show has filled the second half of the year on RTL. But without Dieter Bohlen, the number of viewers dwindled here too and so the show was finally sent on a “creative break”. A comeback is not planned, at least for this year (all TV news at RUHR24).
As opposed to an RTL spokesman DWDL confirmed that a comeback is “currently not planned”. Instead, RTL has a whole host of events and big family shows on the table to fill the Saturday night show gap. It remains to be seen whether the new RTL program managers will bridge the Bohlen-free time better than their predecessors.
