Netflix reveals the release date of the mini-series as well as five new images, on which the actor blends into the character he embodies.

A metamorphosis like the cinema loves it, but on television: Netflix unveils this Friday new images of a future mini-series inspired by the life of Bernard Tapie in which Laurent Lafitte plays the main role. And the actor looks like the businessman, who died in October 2021 of cancer at the age of 78. The platform also reveals the release date of the program, set for September 13.

The five photos unveiled visibly present the character at different stages of his life, rich in varied activities: Bernard Tapie was the owner of Olympique de Marseille, a politician, but also an actor or singer. Carried away by cancer at the age of 78 in October 2021, he was overtaken in his last years by legal troubles.

These new previews come in addition to a first photo unveiled a year ago, at the time of filming.

Few details are currently known about this mini-series. A time announced under the title Wondermanit seems to have been renamed carpetaccording to the site ofAllocinated.

“A fictional mini-series inspired by his life”

By a turn of phrase, the platform suggests that these episodes will take liberties with reality, as the series does. The Crown in recounting the reign of Elizabeth II:

“Laurent Lafitte embodies the iconic Bernard Tapie in a fictional mini-series inspired by his life”, announces the streaming giant.

The series is created by Tristan Séguéla and Olivier Demangel. Fabrice Luchini, Joséphine Japy, Camille Chamoux or even Ophelia Kolb complete the cast.
