It was at the beginning of August 2021 that the Ansgarii Church in Vättersnäs suffered a severe fire. A cause for the fire has not yet been determined.
– The church is a ruin, said a despairing Lennart Bergström to SVT after the fire.
Today it is a much happier chairman of the congregation who receives us in the new premises.
– It has cost a few million and we do not yet know exactly how much. But it has gone a little over budget. Much like they usually say on TV, Lennart says with a laugh.
Built on modules
The new church consists of modules that were previously a temporary station building in Växjö, but now the property is in place in Vättersnäs.
During the Valborg fair weekend, it is time for the inauguration of the new church.
